WEIRD, BIZARRE and UNUSUAL (.1225)

BOTH DUMB AND STUPID
Craigslist readers should be very careful meeting strangers who post to buy, sell or provide a service. According to CNN News on March 18, 2015, when a pregnant Michelle Wilkins answered a Craigslist ad for baby clothes, a former nurse’s aide, Dynel Lane, 34, beat her and cut the baby from her body. The mother survived, the baby did not. The “new mother” went to a local hospital, claiming the dead baby was hers and that she’d miscarried. VISITED HEAVEN’S WAITING ROOM
Danville, Penn. - Gardell Martin and two of his brothers went outside to play on March 11, 2015, and Gardell fell into a stream of water. 911 was called and his family and neighbors began a search. A neighbor found the boy nearly a quarter-mile away; caught on a limb with water gushing around him. And, after one-hour-and-forty-one minutes of CPR, this 22-month-old came back to life. A BLOODY BOTTOM CORPSE
On February 19, 2015, 34-year-old Wykesha Reid was found dead inside a business that does eyelash extensions. After investigating, Dallas police arrested Jimmy Joe Clarke (also known as "Alicia," who lives as a transgender woman), age 31, and Denise Rochelle "Wee Wee" Ross, 43. Ms. Reid’s body was found with her pants partially pulled down and bloody gauze on her buttocks, the results of illegal cosmetic injections. USE BOTH SIDES, TOO?
Do the sheets on your bathroom’s roll of toilet paper hang over-the-top, or under-the-bottom? According to a 1891 patent by New York businessman Seth Wheeler, the sheets of a toilet paper roll should always be on the outside, or in the “over” position.
TOO LATE FOR SEX ED
In 2012, Sauti Ya Anarchism Radio 100.9 FM, located in the suburb of the agricultural town of Nakuru, Kenya, reported Gladys Chelaget holds a world record. Through a caeserian section, she gave birth to a 2.8kg (6.17 Lbs.) baby. What makes her unique; she is a former pupil of Chemamul Primary School, and age 10 when she gave birth. RARE BLOODY STEP
Brad Barton was on trial for the murder of a woman in Edmonton, Alberta, when Judge Graesser warned jurors the evidence they were about to see would be “upsetting.” Since the victim had bled to death through her genitals, the chief medical examiner, Dr. Graeme Dowling took the unusual step of bringing the woman’s vagina into the courtroom. He felt it was necessary for them to understand what caused the 11 cm wound. WHAT ARE THE ODDS HERE?
Kirsty Parker, 25, a Torrington, Devon (UK), mother of five, had no idea she was pregnant recently when she gave birth to a 3-pound premature baby, which fell into the toilet where she sat to relieve herself. More strange, Parker gave birth to her last child just nine months prior ... which fell into a toilet at her home. “As all my previous births have been in a bathroom - that is obviously just where I like to have my children,” Parker joked. WHAT A JOB, WHAT A JOB
Do you enjoy eating chocolate? What if you got paid, too? Alex Emerson-White, 27, munches her way through 130 bars of chocolate a week in her role as the Easter egg taster for Marks & Spencer. She explains: "It varies in terms of week-to-week but I can eat 50 or 60 pieces of chocolate ...” And she admits her friends are jealous. PERVERTS NO PROBLEM IN OREGON
The Oregonian reported Feb. 6, 2014, Patrick Buono, 61, was acquitted by Judge Eric Butterfield for shooting “up-skirt” photos of a 13-year-old girl inside a Beaverton Target store. His Honor said since the young lady wore underpants no statute was violated. (http://www.oregonlive.com/beaverton/index.ssf/2015/02/taking_photos_up_girls_skirt_a.html)

SWALLOWED MORE THAN HER PRIDE
Betty Ruth Hathcock was living in Dallas, at a senior-living center in March of 2013, when her dental bridge was misplaced; which she and the staff were unable to find. Her voice was raspy and they took X-rays but found nothing. Soon after, she became unresponsive and was taken to Doctors Hospital, where ER doctors determined the lost dental bridge was stuck in her trachea (windpipe); so they extracted it. But she died from complications shortly afterward. (http://www.dallasnews.com/news/metro/20150315-consider-yourself-served-5-unusual-dallas-county-lawsuits.ece)
HER ATTORNEYS WILL GET RICH
You’ve heard a person can be their own worst enemy. Well, the opposite can also be true, more or less. A Utah Court of Appeals has decided Barbara Bagley has a legal right to sue herself for her own negligent driving which killed her husband. If her lawsuit is successful, the monetary award would become part of her husband's estate, which is left to her in his will. (http://www.sltrib.com/news/2189925-155/utah-woman-can-sue-herself-over)
SOMETHING TO SQUAWK ABOUT
A North Carolina man, Dorian Harper, 58, pleaded guilty to three felonies (child abuse, assault with a deadly weapon and maiming without malice). He was sentenced to a minimum of 6 years and 3 months, with a maximum of 10 1/2 years, in prison. This sentence was because he handcuffed an 11-year-old boy by his ankle to a porch with a dead chicken hanging around his neck. His longtime girlfriend, Wanda Sue Larson, a Union County child protective services supervisor was also arrested. She remains in jail with bail set at $520,000. A BARBIE DOLL TYPE PROTECTION?
The New York Times, quote: “Stung by accusations that they cannot adequately protect the White House, the Secret Service wants to spend $8 million to build a replica.” It would be built about 20 miles from “the original,” to improve training. MOUNTAINS GOT HER JAILED
Ms. Kezia Perkins, age 32, of Greenfield, Wisconsin, was attempting to pull into a handicapped parking space when a 71-year-old woman took the same space. This made Perkins lose her temper, causing her to chest-butt the older woman, knocking her to the ground. While being arrested for assault, she claimed, “It's not my fault (she) bounced off my big breasts."  (http://www.inquisitr.com/1898569/kezia-perkins-32-year-old-woman-seriously-injures-71-year-old-lady-over-handicap-parking-spot/)
ANOTHER BROKEN U.S. AGENCY
Federal laws are intended to keep felons, those convicted of domestic assault and all diagnosed with mental illness, from purchasing firearms or explosives. Apparently they don’t serve their purpose. The Americans of the National Counterterrorism Center found during 2013-2014, 455 of 486 trying to buy guns or explosives passed background checks. And according to the Government Accountability Office, going back to 2004, 2,043 of 2,233 passed. (http://www.wkbw.com/news/us-news-world/schumer-backs-terror-watch-list-exclusion-for-gun-buys)
