WEIRD, BIZARRE and UNUSUAL (.1361)

REWARD: FREE JAIL ROOM & BOARD
A Madisonville, Kentucky, woman, Mary K. Smith, 42, called 911 when she saw an unattended cook stove still blazing, fearing the house might burn. Her reward for “doing the right thing” was arrest. That’s because, when she discovered the fire, she was breaking into the home trying to steal prescription drugs. (http://thexfrontrange.com/burglar-calls-911-to-prevent-fire-at-crime-scene/)
MISC. NEWSPAPER MIS-WORDINGS
(A) “There is a fundamental difference between male and female homosexuality, which is that the former concerns men and the second women.” (B) “Defendant was charged with carless driving.” (C) “This is the time of year when all the policemen and firemen hold their balls.”
MAY SHE REST IN PEACE 2016-20
Apparently the future of the United States was very important to Elaine Fydrych, age 63, a New Jersey voter. Composing her obituary days before her death on August 13, 2015, she insisted family, friends and all who read her last words: “In lieu of flowers, please do not vote for Hillary Clinton.” (Four months earlier, Larry Darrell Upright’s obituary in Concord, North Carolina, asked the same.)
