WEIRD, BIZARRE and UNUSUAL (.1121)

VERY LOW HIGH EXPECTATIONS
Some folks with curiosity, some with pride, gathered near Boulder City, Nevada, on December 19, 2014, to watch the first unmanned aircraft authorized to fly without direct Federal Aviation Administration supervision. But, after the expensive little aircraft flew only ten feet before crashing, Governor Brian Sansurion could only say, “This is still a great day for Nevada.” Ho-hum. (The AP, 12-20-14)
MAKE THAT A FOURSOME
Dec. 19, 2014 - Jerson Duron, 25, his wife, Edith Duron, 22, and Ivette Garcia, 21, were traveling along California’s Interstate Highway 15 on the way to a funeral, when their car rolled over, killing all 3. (The AP, 12-21-14)
HOPE THERE’S NO FRUIT INSIDE?
Tucson resident Maria Dellos received a call from the Transportation Security Administration’s lost and found on December 16, 2014, explaining they’d found her lost luggage. The flight when the luggage got lost involved a trip to Las Vegas, some 20 years prior. (WPTV, 12-19-14)
