WEIRD, BIZARRE and UNUSUAL (.1114)

IGNORANCE PERPETUATING ITSELF
A soccer game recently proves how backward a society can still be in the 21st century. In this case, a Saudi Arabia woman attending a soccer game was arrested. Why? She attended that soccer game, plain and simple. Quoting the associated Press, “Saudi Arabia enforces a strict segregation of the sexes and has no designated areas for women at soccer stadiums.” (The AP, 12-16-14)
AN EXTREME ACT OF ARROGANCE
At least, sometimes, authority does not rule. In this case, Cho Hyun-ah, the daughter of the Korean Air’s chairman, was forced to resign as an executive there herself. This was because of arrogance, apparently caused by her demanding a flight attendant be put off “her plane” immediately for supplying macadamia nuts in a bag, instead of on a plate. (The AP, 12-16-14)
SOULS HEAVEN – ASHES GOODWILL
Do you donate household items to Goodwill? Just before Christmas 2014, an Indiana Goodwill received a couple of “items” they were not sure how to share. Inside a velvet pouch inside a larger box, they found two small, white boxes containing the cremated ashes of two deceased, uninvolved donators.
