WEIRD, BIZARRE and UNUSUAL (.1071)

A TOLL ROAD IN REVERSE
Most drivers aren’t surprised when rain or snow covers the road. What about U.S. currency, as in cash? When a large bag of cash fell from an armored truck on Maryland’s Interstate 27 and loose bills blew across the highway, drivers stopped and scrambled from their vehicles, grabbing and snatching all bills possible. While the amount in the bag was not disclosed, police stated they and the truck’s driver found only about $200. PARENTS WOULD DISOWN THEM
Dr. Sean Perry of the Marathon (Florida) Veterinary Hospital has saved the life of Buttercup, an orange tabby cat who needed blood, by giving him a transfusion from a West Palm Beach dog blood bank. The U.S. National Library of Medicine shows 62 cats have been known to receive such "xenotransfusions," and cats are apparently the only animals - besides dogs - that can safely process dog blood. A NAUGHTY GAL
A Texas woman, Megan Davis Hoelting, 31, was arrested three times in one month for assault, theft and public intoxication. Now, she’s in jail for breaking into her husband’s friend’s home. According to that friend, when he awoke Mrs. Hoelting was straddling his legs, dressed only in her underwear.
