WEIRD, BIZARRE and UNUSUAL (.1058)

NO GRUMPY GRANNY NO MORE
A 10-year-old Pennsylvania boy was jailed, accused of punching Helen Novak, 90, then holding a cane against her throat until she died. After the boy’s parents requested he not be released, jailers provided the little fellow with recreational opportunities and coloring books. (The AP, 10-16-14)
AT LEAST NO POO INVOLVED
A Bay Village, Ohio, 15-year-old boy suffering from autism totally trusted his male teenage friends. So, when they invited him to join in the ice bucket challenge for charity, he gladly agreed. Problem was, instead of dumping ice water on his head, the bucket contained urine and tobacco spit. These teens, ages 14-16, last heard faced juvenile delinquency, assault and disorderly conduct charges. (The AP, 10-15-14)
WHAT A LOUSY MEAL
In September 2014, arrested on assault charges, Staci Anne Spence, 42, was driven to jail in Sandpoint, Idaho. Upon arrival, and after Spence was removed from the police car, officers were surprised to discover she’d chewed through the back seat, foam padding and seat cover.
